One of Thomas Kinkade's most famous and beautiful works of art, created in 1996. It is known by two names, A Christmas Welcome and by its subtitle "Christmas Cottage VII", engraved on the brass plaque at the lower center of the linen matte, below a brass/gold inlay. It is the 7th of 10 paintings from his Christmas Cottage series.
These are not available anymore from Mr. Kinkade's estate inventory.
This is a luminous work of art that changes depending the quality of light shining on it during the day. Soft light produces more of a sunrise feel to the work; warmer or harder light (later in the day) produces more of a sunset feel. Mr. Kinkade was well known to use this technique in several of his pieces.
