Position Overview
Alaska Barge Terminal LLC is seeking a dependable and capable Office Coordinator to support office operations, assist with customer communication and coordination between office and yard personnel. The Office Coordinator is an integral part of the team that is often the face of the organization and the first impression for customers. We operate a working waterfront facility on the Homer Spit including shipyard services, stevedoring, freight handling, boat storage and more. This role focuses on handling a variety of administrative tasks to keep the front office running smoothly while also helping maintain an organized and efficient workflow of day-to-day key operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support across daily operations, including office and yard coordination
• Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with inquiries, scheduling, and general requests
• Coordinate and track boat storage intake, work scheduling, and related documentation
• Support invoicing, payments, and basic bookkeeping tasks
• Maintain records
• Track and manage basic inventory and supply needs
• Coordinate with yard and operations staff to keep work flowing efficiently
• Run occasional parts/supply pickups or deliveries using a company vehicle
• Help maintain an organized office and participate in shared housekeeping
• Handle general office duties including answering phones, managing correspondence, and ordering supplies
• Perform other related duties as needed to support daily operations
Pay & Benefits
• $22 - $25 / hr.
• Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual begins after 90-day probationary period
• Performance-based wage review after 90 days
• 401(k) with company match available after 1 calendar year of service

Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License; Reliable Transportation
• Drug-free workplace; testing may be required
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, SharePoint, QB Online, email)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Proficient in primary math concepts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Eligible to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of hire
• Prompt, reliable, and a team player
• Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude
